Hey all....

well, it looks like I may be in the beginnings of a build of my next system... I will know more by next week monday... But in the meanwhile.... I was wondering on your opinions in regards to Kingston HyperX DDR2 memory. In the past, I have always used Corsair XMS brand and have had good luck. I dont normally OC but it would be nice to know that if I wanted to that the memory could give some headway to this area.

The specific memory that I am looking at is:

Kingston HyperX NVIDIA SLI-Ready 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

Type - 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM

Capacity - 2GB (2 x 1GB)
Speed - DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
Cas - Latency 5

Voltage - 2.2V
Heat Spreader - Yes
Features - NVIDIA SLI-Ready

Currently the price at Newegg is at $64.49

It looks like, through some connections, I can get this very same exact model of memory for $43.00.

So is this memory worth the time and effort?

so go for it, u got nothing to lose! i still think u should get 4gb though of memory

Kingston is very reliable. I have dozens of thier sticks and not a single bad one. I don't know how well they overclock though.
