My computer is down. It is a Power Spec 8707. I went to do a system recovery on my computer and it was done it said to restart my compurter when it came back up it went to a black screen and now says NTLDR is compressed press ctrl + alt + del to restart. So i did that and I get the same thing every time. I can't get my computer to do anything else but that. Can someone please help me I need my computer back quickly.

Try using an installation CD and booting to the recovery console. Then:

If prompted, enter your Administrator password and press Enter . If there is no password, just press Enter .

At the prompt,C:\WINDOWS, type:

cd c:\ disk where windows is installed)

At the prompt, type:
attrib -c ntldr
and then press Enter .

At the prompt, type: exit

Press the Enter key and immediately remove all discs or diskettes from the computer to allow the computer to restart.

I have a Compaq Presario SR1319RS desktop. I was in the middle of something on my computer and then all of a sudden it started restarting it's self So I did a recovery and it didn't work so I went and done a complete system recovery when it was done I restarted my computer and and got a black screen with the message NTLDR is missing press ctrl+alt+del to restart. So I did and it is doing nothing.but giveing me the same message. I have tried a system recovery many times but I still got the same message. All I have is the 8 discs for Compaq System Recovery Windows XP Home Edition. Can someone please help me I really need to get my computer back up and running ASAP.
