Hi,
I recently upgraded the ram memory on my Vaio fe750fm, from the original 1gb, to 3gb (2+1).
After doing so , my laptop would never return form hibernation. It would halt and remain on with lights and fan on,, but with no response. In order to fix this i need to remove the 1gb module and restart erasing the hibernation data, and then putting the 1gb back.
Any ideas why this is happening?

PS: By the way, on the mother specs says that it would support up to 4gb, while on the specs from sony says that it would take a max of 2. But yet, other than the problem listed above, works perfectly with 3gb.

It's actually not a good idea to modify your hardware, which also includes plugging in or unplugging hardware, while your computer is in standby or hibernate.

If it allows you to, start your computer in safe mode and disable hibernation to get rid of the hibernation file. Restart, then log back in normally and re-enable it.
