good morning , i have 2 sony vaio (the first is mine and other to a friend) S2VP and S2XP with motherboard "MBX 109" and the day after they no longer want to light up any led (battery power, hdd) no led
I am speaking to connoisseurs of this model is there a failure well known on these models and how component must try and change it?

Have you tried the following:

- Resetting the BIOS/CMOS
- Different power supply
- Take the motherboard outside of the case

Sebastian,

Most S series power issues are related to short conditions on the motherboard (location of short could be anywhere).

Also, many times these bare boards that are sold as replacements by people that take apart whole units, they are damaged severely by mishandling.

That's about all the help I can offer via a message board.
