  xp boot problem - blank screen stays

i didn't get any error's but boot hangs... if i tried to boot with safe mode... it is also stuck after reading 6 or 7 files ...

i removed all other drives... and i tried boot... even though i am not able to boot....

i have IDE-320gb hard disk...and

i have another hard drive SATA 120 GB.... i can boot xp via SATA .... but i am not able to boot IDE xp
.

so tried xp repair install... it's also failed... same blank screen i'm getting ...

is it problem in my HDD...

but good thing is i can access all my iDE drives in SATA xp...so i can take backups...

but how to fix boot problem ????

help me thanks....

Try the following:

- Check your hard drive with a diagnostic utility from the manufacturer.
- If the drive check passes, try a different IDE cable
- Could be the motherboard IDE connector having a problem, try resetting your BIOS to see if this clears out any problems.
