I am trying to figure out why programs like CPU-Z show my DRAM frequency as 533.3 MHz when my RAM is rated at 1066.6 MHz. In my BIOS I can't directly change the frequency but I can change the System Memory Multiplier which does change the frequency a bit. However, according to the BIOS, the frequency is already 1066.6 MHz and I don't want to overclock it! What, if anything, is holding my RAM back?

lol..calm down man.

Your ram is DDR2 so it will only show you half of the frequency. 533x2 is...? Your ram is running fine. It was confusing for me at first too since I was used to just DDR lol.

Sorry. I didn't mean to come across as not calmed-down. It's just the way I type I guess.

Anyway, why does DDR2 RAM show only half? Does DDR or DDR3 show something different? I am just getting into this tweaking business with clock speeds and such.
