Hello, So i just Built my gaming system, and im getting issues right off the start. So when i start up Windows XP x64, Everything runs ok for a while, but every now and then my screen freezes, but only for 3secs then normal then freezes again, and the only way to resolve it is restarting the whole system. I had this issue with a 32bit version of windows as well. I can still play my games as well. I also got the BLUE screen of death TWICE. But overall the system runs normal. And all my drivers are updated, Here are my specs...
PLEASE HELP!

INTEL DG35EC mainboard
INTEL E8400 duo core 3ghz
Nvidia 9800 GTX 512mb
8GIG DDR2 RAM
ATA 400 gig HD

Wow, it's pretty sad how no one replied to him almost 2 months ago. Things are slowly dying on HWA. :(

First things first, update windows fully, including any service packs for xp x64 (think it goes to SP2).

Do a defrag, and see how it runs.

If you're still experiencing the same issues, it could be any of the following:
HDD
RAM
PSU

What make/model is your PSU? How old is it? You'd be surprised at the issues they can cause.

Lancool PC K62
Phenom II x3 @ 3.5Ghz
4GB DDR2-800
ASUS GTX570 DirectCU II

Meats

You cant post something like that and then not offer a soulution either.....LMAO!!!! You are crazy man you totally LOCO. ;)

If it was me I would do the easiest thing 1st, try the Ram in 2gig combos, or what ever way you can. Even re sit them in the board. Is this rig overclocked at all and what temps you running. Maybe the HSF is not sitting correctly. Make sure you turn of any temp management in the bios aswell, and see if that runs okay.

Driver and bios updates is a must too. Especially on a Mobo thats been sitting in storage for months...

If that fails check the PSu....but do the easy things first before getting down to the hard stuff. But I dont think its anything major.

i5 2500K @ 4.8Ghz- Corsiar H50 WaterCooler- Coolermaster Realpower 1000w- Asus P8P67 Deluxe - Asus 6990 4GB - 8GB Corsair DDR3 2000Mhz - X-Fi Sound - 7.1 Surround Speakers - BenQ 24" TFT - G9x Mouse- G19 Keyboard
