It's been a while since I got new RAM.

I was considering one of these two choices;
http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=115...s_id=34453
http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=115...s_id=28106

Team Elite is much cheaper, but what does that say about the quality?

What is Hardware Analysis' opinion?

Would I say, see much of a performance boost over my current RAM with that?

Thanks for that very informative response Plug & Play! :)

Out of your experience, any possible suggestions on 4GB packs of Ram that would be good for me?
I was still keeping an eye out for the previous two I posted, it's just 8500 is pricey. :P

I was not suggesting that you go out and buy 4/8 GB of PC2-8500 but the difference in price is not that much mate if you shop around......

just keep and eye for a bargain in the range, I will have a look for you now and post a link give me 5 mins dude.

Here are a few Bargains....and I am nearly 100% sure they deliver.to the UK I think you can change the site to UK aswell.

I get my RAM there as does Dublin Gunner If I am not mistaken...

Ohs**t, my bad I did not realise you were DOWN UNDER mate...still you should be able to source them. Ask if they do world wide delivery ?

If you're only looking at DDR2-800, and you're not overclocking your ram, well then stick with DDR2-800.

Pretty much any kit available is gonna give you the same results, so once its from a respectable manufacturer, make your decision based on price - they all pretty much use the same memory modules these days anyway.

But yeah - I do get my ram at the place Plug suggested above, they're fantastic to deal with, and competitive - although dont sell down under I'm afraid!

There's little to chose between the Team or Corsair, so go with whichever suits your pocket best :)
**edit MemoryC.com can sell to Australia :) good prices too

Thanks Dublin. :)

The only overclocking i'd do is a minor overclock on my processor if it's needed for a high end game. :)

That shop looks nice though, pity i'm Australian.

The elite is a good price, but the corsair looks so much better. :P oh well, thanks for the help guys. :)
