I'm running windows xp pro, and I just got a 16gb usb flash drive. I am trying to transfer a file that is 6 gb onto the drive, however windows says it is full. The USB drive is empty. Can anyone help?

Make sure it is formatted properly and in a proper FAT32 format.

Yes, it's been formatted already in a FAT 32 filesystem.

Might be faulty.

Other USB drives work without problems? Try using that flash drive in a different USB slot.

Also, try re-installing your USB 2.0 drivers again just to make sure they haven't been corrupted possibly preventing some functionality.

But I think it could be the flash drive itself. Maybe someone else may have some better idea of this problem.

Sorry.

Actually after looking into this further, I found out that it's because the file system FAT 32 does not recognize files over 4gb in size.

I had to format the USB drive to NFTS and now I was able to copy the file into the USB drive.

The problem is that I wanted to view this clip on my PS3 however the PS3 is FAT 32 only, so it seems like there is no work around for this issue.

Argh... Forgot FAT32 had a file size limit... Rarely do I ever come about it...

You can probably get your computer to connect with your PS3 and have the file transferred across accordingly.

Don't know if this will work but worth a try:
