You know its going to happen... The swine flu has spread all over the world, the W.H.O (world health organization) has us on pandemic alert 4 and say that its progressed too far to stop. Its only a matter of time before the deceased victims of this disease turn into zombies.

I suggest you guys start stocking up on water and shotgun shells while there is still time!

I'm not afraid of Zombies. I'll just force feed them some of my 3rd ex's stew. That'll kill them. Or make their mouth so dry they can't make that stupid moaning sound. I hate that when I'm hangin' with da Zombies but that's just how they ride.

I think a pandemic would be great! Drop the population by a few hundred millions or maybe a billion! That would be cool. We need some effective population control and no matter how much we talk smack life isn't too important for most humans to be worth saving. Oh crap. Now I'm gonna hear it.

For proper application of masks, please see photo in my "what I do for a living" link in the sig. Actually a surgical type mask switch may be in order as being less conspicuous. The good side to all this is mail order hams from Egypt are going to be A LOT more affordable now!

EDIT: file in the meaningless links dept. Google maps swine flu tracker!

I wonder what the cities that have laws banning face-coverings in public are going to do now? I guess they figured since masks could be used in committing a crime, they should be banned. What a dilemma...do we put peoples' health at risk or let criminals run amuck in the streets?

We already have a Pandemic!!! It's called Automobiles!
More people die in the US each and every year from Auto Accidents, than any other single cause...including Iraq,Afganistan, etc.

I agree with Payton.... a few billion less people wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, especially now that technology as put so many of US out of work.

I love persons, it's the people that I hate (and even that is overly stated, I think that most are just sad).

How many deaths out of 300,000,000 in the United states? 14? 20? 1000? You do the math.
Anywhere else in the world? Do the math! More people die every day In every Country than this trumped up "pandemic" is capible of doing, even if the exposure to death threashold was 1000% higher. More people die each year from lack of proper heating or cooling than this manufactured BS ever will. In Florida, where I live, there are people that are refusing to come to work, in FEAR that they'll get infected.......

Just another piece of fecal matter to toss in there on top of OBAMA-Muslim-Terrorist, your next door neighbor being illegal, and a terrorist sleeper, and all the other matter they are trying to push down our throats! I'm sick of it, the taste, and I refuse to swallow any more of it.

Sorry, but I'm in a bad mood tonight, but if you read my other posts you'll know why.

Peace out.

Just a heads up for you guys. I was at the doctors today getting my leg cut again. I asked the doctor how bad it would have to get before the hospital made those face masks mandatory. Her reply was rather revealing. She said the only mask that would protect you is a tuberculosis mask which you can wear for maybe one hour. The ones you see people wearing on the street are absolutely worthless and the people buying them are just throwing away their money. Then she said but don't expect the drug stores selling them to tell you that. So tomorrow on my weekly 2 train 4 bus ride trip to my kid I can go unmasked comfortable in the knowledge that if I get it I get it. Get it? And I had a new ski mask I wanted to try out at the 7-11 too! LOL

yeah this is defenitly one of the more retarded of news hypes. 30,000 people a year die of the normal flu and so far only like 100 people died from swine flu? That's pretty damn good. It's just Mexico's crappy health care that people are dieing from.

Anybody recommend a good shotgun for cheap?

First, define "cheap."

Second, you could probably go with the gun culture standard Remington 870 or the Mossberg 500. Both are available in 12-guage flavors, and both are loved by their owners as very reliable arms. I would bias myself a bit towards the Remington, simply because my roommate owned a Mossberg 500 and loaded some 3.75" shells into it (big shells) and ended up breaking the pump piece right off -- while another of my friends' has his own Remington 870, and it has never broken (nor has his father's 870).

Both of these models are easily and frequently customized -- which is another reason to recommend them. You can buy pistol grips, composite stocks, collapsing stocks, muzzle extensions, composite pistol grip equipped stocks, scopes, sights, and all of the firearm techno-wizardry that would make hunting swine flu zombies turn from a nightmarish hell come true to a great night out with the guys. :D

I'd go with an 870, customized with a magazine extension (so I could have 9 + 1 shots) and one of those pistol grips with a composite stock, making my shotgun easy to shoulder and fire, but also a good blunt weapon if I run out of shots when one of those zombie hordes happens. I hate it when that happens in L4D. :D

You know, it already arrived in Puerto Rico :O

Y'know what's funny? I've actually been in Puerto Rico for the past few days, and I actually caught something which exhibited very flu-like symptoms. I also serve in the US military, and am vaccinated against the typical flu each year -- and I have the shot records to prove it.

So I may or may not have contracted the Swine Flu. And I feel fine, except for the part of my that is scareds**tless not of the swine flu, but the idiots who are freaking out about it. Honestly, the flu is no laughing matter being that it can be a deadly disease -- but the flu can only be a deadly disease only in conjunction with medical conditions that exacerbate it... or by being insanely ignorant and careless about it.

First thing I did was look up swine flu, and it's symptoms. WebMD and Wikipedia helped greatly in this regard, and both of them reiterated the same thing: Swine Flu isn't the least bit more dangerous than the regular flu, outside of the fact that, for some reason, the 2009 "Outbreak" strain appears to be capable of jumping from person to person, airborne (which is apparently uncommon in swine flu) and is unaffected by regular flu vaccinations (duh).

So I took some vitamin C, echinacea and zinc... got good amounts of sleep and was conscious about keeping myself clean and disinfected. Huzzah, I won't die and rise from the ground as a zombie.

A_Pickle,
You are part of the consperacy to make people more informmed!

You sick terrorist, and supporter of torture!

The US Military has spent the years since WWI trying to provide a reason for thier existance, I mean heck they came up with Communist, the military I mean.
If you are a Democrat, you did it to Socialize the USA and make us part of the One World Order, if you are a Republican, you did it because you wanted to support the Military-Industrial Complex.....either way you are a sick, twisted, brain washed tool of one group or the other.

See what I've had to put up with for the last 35 years?!?!
Mass Media Disclaimer Here: "I do not agree with this message, nor do I support it."

BTW, the Remington is a good one, but aren't they owned by some European NWO trash now that sells beer and liqueur? :P

I'd go with the Remington, but I'd consider 16ga instead of 12ga.

16ga provides more shots for the same weight and/or bulk-size in ammunition. Not such a major factor when hunting, but when you're going to fight zombie hordes it could make a big difference in what you have to store or lug around.

Also lower $/shot means more zombie re-kills for same number of bucks.

As with 12ga, ammo selection is also decent.
