BADOW! I love the new icon. :_)

And finally, FINALLY! Full CSS3 selector support! (not like anybody else here cares, though). :nth-child() ftw!

I know, I know ... * pats Vel on the back * ... but RC1 is a step in the right direction :_) I skipped the beta's (except to install in my virtual machine so I could update CipherFox for it), but when new versions hit RC status, I can't stay away! :D

Haha, yeah. I've never had any real problems with an RC but when you're this close you may as well wait for the real deal for extension's sake.

Yeah, for the most part. I myself like to get a little ahead of the curve as far as Firefox is concerned.

As for extensions, most actually will work just fine, they just need a "maxVersion bump." I set an about:config preference a while back that ignores that, so all extensions keep running regardless of the Firefox version (except the ones that really are broken).

Yeah that is why I have not updated mine yet. I have it looking real nice with Glasser and I have my toolbar hidden with Personal Menu so it appears when I press Alt. Very sleek and looks better in Vista then IE8.

Adblock Plus is working just fine on mine ... are you using some old version (or just plain old Adblock)?

What exactly is it doing? I just installed it, and apart from being butt-ugly, it works.

Firefox extensions include a "maxVersion." If it's set to something less than 3.5, then they will refuse to load. It doesn't mean that they CAN'T work with 3.5, just that they refuse to. Eventually, add-on authors will update their addons with a new maxVersion (most of the popular ones already have) and everything will be happy.

Until then, if you want, you can go about:config and set extensions.checkCompatibility to false. Firefox will then let you run any extension regardless of its maxVersion. Although then, if the extension really does have an incompatibility with 3.5, Firefox may well crash. I haven't seen that happen, though.

It might be an issue with my Forecastbar Enhanced being on the bookmarks bar, but when I forced it, the bookmark and tabs bar were with nasty black background vs glass and it was giving me an error message repetitively and in mass. I had to end the process and put Firefox into safe mode to uninstall Glasser.

Edit: Orr just kidding? Now with a retry of disabling Forecastbar Enhanced and then enabling it and restarting Firefox, it works. I wonder why this happened.

Seems it was just a one-off (see my above post). Try using the Nightly Tester Tools extension to force the compatibility, it should be fine in 3.5 now. I agree with it looking sleeker, I personally use the Hide Menubar extension for the same function.

All you have to do to force compatibility is the about:config option I posted, I imagine that is all NTT is doing.

For some reason I do not see extensions.checkCompatibility in my about:config.

Nevermind, I added it myself.
