I just recently bought a logitech 5.1 speaker system. Nothing special, the wallmart one.
Well on games like css all speakers work. But when playing music with (Winamp)or(WindowsMedia Player) only the front 2 speakers and sub work. back 2 and center dont work. I think it has something to do with the audi format?
Also im running Vista 64.

Uh yeah that's because most audios are 2-channel audios so you'll only get 2 channel sound out of them, unless you have a "Matrix" option on your speakers that will redistribute the sound into 5 channels. What model is your system?

Or... you can configure your soundcard to emulate surround sound from a 2.0 source or just play the music through all speakers.
