I've changed my mind, instead of getting Ultimate I'm getting Home Premium x64. I don't see how it's worth it - it's another $100+.

Q6600 G0 @ 3.5ghz
XFX ATI Radeon HD4870 1GB
4GB OCZ Reaper 1066mhz
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 1TB
ASUS P5Q Pro
ASUS VH242H 24' LCD

Yea the only differences from professional edition that is mentioned on their website is multi-language support and BitLocker (what ever that is)? I think the multi-language support should be on all editions.

I was going to ask that question. Why do some of you want the Ultimate version for? Is there a certain feature that you need integrated into the OS? Cause from what I see I can accomplish everything the Ultimate verison does with 3rd party program that I believe will be better than what Windows will offer and as Michael wrote, it's $100 more expensive. :~

McFly isn't really from Bouvet Island, at least I don't think so since it's supposedly inhabited. But! according to sources, a boat was found in 1964 with supplies but no passengers on board! It is possible that McFly is way older than he led people to belief and is actually working on a secret extraterrestrial government organization.

The stories surrounding the island stirs my imagination a lot. Maybe it's Noah's frozen arc! Or! there's possibly preserved thing in that big block of ice.

Windows 7 Professional 64bit
(I have Vista Ultimate and I've never used bit locker etc)
I will not be using AppLocker, BitLocker, Direct access - dont have a domain, don't use Unix, don't use virtualisation.

Am currently using the beta on my Play machine - what version is that?

a couple of days ago.... i finally got a new 160gb Seagate hdd to replace the 40gb hdd in my NC6220 laptop. I loaded Windows 7 Enterprise x86. Seems to load faster than previous versions of Windows. Was able to load all drivers with the exception of about 3 of them but finally managed to sort them out. All drivers loaded and working. The one thing I do notice with the OS is that it "seems" zippier.... but that could be Win 7, the new hdd, or even the combination of both..... who knows... but it does seem zippier. Just to let you know.... Win 7 Enterprise takes up 7.X something GB of space alone, without any drivers or updates... So far all the software that I have loaded all work fine. Currently my laptop has 1GB of memory.... and with the current configuration of the OS/Apps... 600MB of that memory is being used.... hmmm.... Guess I will upgrade the memory to 2GB (max that the laptop can take). So im pretty pleased with Win 7... but I can say that I will stay with my Vista Enterprise build on my main house system as it is running great. no need to go through the hassle of upgrading the OS on that machine... Next new build yes,..... current no...
