I setup a network in my flat only one computer has ever connected to this network. After a while I noticed that when I wanted to connect to this network I never had to type in my password although the network is described as security-enabled. Im not sure if this is because it recognises my computer or something similar. Obvioulsy I do not want strangers to have access to my network due to the danger. Can someone advise if this is normal?

Any advice really appreciated thanks

Julian

What networking gear are you using?

I've seen some linksys and belkin kit have for lack of a better word....a "pairing button" press the button on both devices simultaneously and it automatically sets up security between the two without the user having to enter keys ect

also, what OS are you using?

You can either be part of the problem or be part of the solution.
