Insert your XP CD and load up the recovery console
Use the two commands
FixBoot
FixMBR

thanks guys,i'm in ship as seaman,i don't have xp cd available here,at the sametime my cd rom was not working,so there is no other way to do that?

this tool would let you make a bootable usb stick.

you could download a copy of xp and make the usb stick a bootable xp cd
then follow the instructions as stated earlier.
