Version 1.XX

Installed Memory:
Kingston
KVR800D2N6/1G

I rebooted my sys and smelled something (Not good), after realized a ship burned out in slot B1, i called kingston sent me a new chip, but now that slot doesn't seem to be working. Have I lost that slot completely, is there a way to fix it, clean it out etc..? I do have total of 4G(4 x 1G) to install but now only 3 slots... Any thoughts would be great. thx.

Old Setup
4 Slots total,
DIM A1 1G
DIM A2 1G
DIM B1 1G
DIM B2

New Setup
4 Slots total,
DIM A1 1G
DIM A2 1G
DIM B1
DIM B2 1G

Id bet its dead for good.....

I once killed a slot by not seating a stick correctly, one end was stuck out I assume something cross connected due to the angle....motherboard worked fine after but the slot never did.

Having voices in your head is normal. Listening to them, common. Arguing, acceptable. However, when you lose the argument, you're in trouble.
