I've an old & bold 4600 running W 2000 - I believe I've got 2 * 256 sticks in there - but ControlPanel > system - only shows 261,040 KB.

What's my problem? (apart from a lack of $$ to upgrade, and a clearly a desire to persevere against adversity!)

Angus
PS: thanks HA for the fix for the inverter board!

It could be because you have your shared video set to 256MB? Not sure though.

Are you sure the 2 sticks are both 256MB? (one could be 256 and another could be 128 or something)

... yes pretty sure they are both 256 ... so why does it say 261,040 - what is the maths I'm missing .

As for Shared Video - ah - where do I set that value ?
