ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe - SLI Configuration

I can't get my SLI configuration to work any more. It used to work absolutely fine up until a few months back, it broke when I upgraded the mobo to the 1805 BIOS.

I gave up trying how to degrade, but had another shot yesterday and successfully downgraded the BIOS back to 1016.

If I remove one card video works fine, then if I swap them over it works fine so the cards appear to be sweet.

Video Card BIOS: 05/31/2005 V9.0
ASUS mobo BIOS: 1016
Video driver: 191.07
nforce4 chipset dvr: 15.23

I have the following set-up:
Vista Enterprise x64
ASUS A8N-SLI-Deluxe
4GB RAM
2 x Leadtek PX6600GT TDH

I know its aold set-up, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I want to go to Win7 this week, but think I should nut out any hardware issues like this first.

You have the drives setup for SLI?Install the latest drivers then enabl the second card..Is the bios setup for SLI? Does your board have that SLI card that has to be installed on the mobo?

So, yes I have the latest drivers, downloaded yesterday v191.07

But, I only see one card in Device Manager. This is why I always thought it was BIOS that stuffed it.

Yes my mobo has one of the SLI selector Cards. This is set to dual. I also have the connector that bridges the two cards, is it called gold tooth or something?
