Wow, just got my Zune HD 32 gig to replace my iPod 5G, alls I can say is wow. The player itself is like omgwtfwowzers with that cool new interface and touchscreen and the Zune software makes my old itunes look like something from the stone age.

I was never a fan of either company and especially not M$ but damn, I can't believe they did something right finally.

If you guys got any questions about the Zune I'll answer them to the best of my ability but for now, I gotta go move all my music from Ipod to the new Zune.

i want one, i've got a 30GB black Zune and it's fantastic. I need to get a new phone though, and save up for a few others things.

Heavy but the right kind of heavy? solidly built? doesn't creek like cheap plastic or twist? Is internet browsing smooth and easy? Radio nice at all?

I'm tempted for one to replace my IPod Touch especially for the HD output

I bought a brown first generation Zune 30GB a few years back for $95, it was a great replacement for my pre-historic iPod 15GB. I really like the Zune HD, though I have yet to use one personally I have seen them around campus. I'd like to see a Zune HD Phone on Verizon Wireless for $199 with 2 year contract, and if they can get that out by June of 2011 (when I'm due for a new phone) then it will be all mine.

This thing is helluva lot lighter than my iPod 5g, proly because the lack of actual HDD. It's exact same height as ipod 5g but a little thinner and not as wide. I've seen some reviews complain about build quality but theyre bollox. The build is solid, feels very nicely with all the metal and pretty much only 2 plastic parts are on button up top and the home button.

I've been playing around with it for some time now and I must say, the radio on this thing is absolutely amazing. I bought it just to replace my ipod 5g and I didn't even car about radio but after trying it a few times I wanna listen to it more than my music collection.

Okay so you touch "radio" in the main menu and you get a nicely looking FM bar. (I havent seen AM yet and I don't know if it even works) You can just slide your finger across the screen and change frequency. If it finds a station it automatically displays the station name/frequnency and if the station is broadcasting HD it will say "hd" off to the side and the name of the song that's playing. Best thing about it though (besides amazing reception) is adding stations to favorites. Once you hit one you like just touch a "+" symbol and it saves it under station name. Love it. Oh yeah and did I mention that reception was good? Yeah, no more car radio for me.

Internet browsing:
I didn't use it all that much for net browsing but I did try out few sites like google searches, wikipedia, yahoo mail etc. I think it shows the special mobile webpages instead of the actual ones but the speed is great. Though if the wireless signal is weak it will SIGNIFICANTLY slow down website speeds. Typing things in is hella ez. You touch the textbox and you get keyboard popping up and etc. I am sure its exactly the same in ipod touch/iphone. Nothing much to say about the net. Maybe except when you go to "internet" frm the main menu, if you're not connected to anything it will auto pick up wifi and you can easily connect after typing in your password.

Overall the absolute best thing about this device is the interface. I've always been a fan of apple "easy to use" approach but this time M$ outdone themselves. It's clean, fast, intuitive and just simply stunning to look at. (Zune software also blows away itunes) When I first got into the soft to organize my songs it took sometime to get used to it because it looks completely different but once that was done I don't EVER wanna go back to itunes. Needless to say. I am lovin' it.

Just to make sure ppl understand, I didn't get paid by M$ nor I am trying to sell their product here saying how awesome it is. It's my opinion based on what my ipod 5g used to be (ya i know you can't even really compare it to the new zune but nevertheless)

If I like something, I say it. If you think I am a M$ fanboy - you can gtfo I use a Mac everyday.
