Just thought I would see if everybody still plays some of the console classics on emulators. Also, I thought I would post my favorite emulators:

NES - Nestopia
SNES - Zsnes
Sega Genesis - Kega Fusion

Mike an emulator is just what it describes. It emulates a certain hardware function, in this case a console is what he means. The Roms is the game itself.

Here's one of the sites I use to download ROMS and Emulators:
http://www.ROMNation.net

And for your game, I could only find Choplifter III for the Snes. Here it is:
http://www.romnation.net/srv/roms/53597/snes204/Choplifter-III.html

And here is the emulator:

Snes 9x- http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/snes/snes9x.html

I've wanted to grab up Project 64. There were a couple of N64 games I never had the chance to play.

I find it a bit taxing controling the N64 with keyboard

Yeah, that would be a pain for sure. I use my 360 controller on my computer. I couldn't imagine using the keyboard for Mario 64.

I got homebrew on my Wii and I found a drop-dead perfect emulator (snes9x) that works with the classic controller flawlessly. It is exactly like the original SNES. As for N64, which I never had as a child, I just buy the few games I want off the Wii Shop. NES games I use Jnes on my computer.

I always enjoyed how easy it was to apply game genie cheats with Jnes.

lmao at Tam!

I keep wondering why do people use znes instead of Snes9x, to me znes was ugly and didn't had as many options as snes9x has.

Meats, I've never tried Snes9x on my system. I'll have to give it a whirl. I do know that zsnes can be finicky about the system on which it runs. It works great on my system. When I suggested it to my friend, he had a hell of a time getting it to run right on his system. I have used Snes9x, but it was on a modded xbox.

Oops! I just mentioned a modded xbox. I hope Mr. Anal isn't reading. :)

ZX32, Sinclair Spectrum emulator from the World of Spectrum website. It sits there for three and a half minutes with those little coloured lines up and down the side of the screen, then stops and says, "R: Tape Loading Error 0:1" ;)

12,000 games available in their archive! :D Keep you entertained until Christmas.
