Regrets? With that monitor, the 4870 should still put out close to 40 fps on Crysis with max res:

Mike, here is an overall review of the card against other cards in case you would consider something else as k0rny has suggested:

I know it's just to tide him over until the 5850 is available, but those links may help a bit.

Yes it is. Works wonderfully what I've heard. I put it together and the case is amazing! Wouldn't mind having one myself.

That HDD is weak. Get 2x 74 gig raptors for dirt cheap, and use the spinpoint as storage drive. Them raided raptors are hella fast.

Lol That XAF case. I like those sideways HDD's.

Weak? Are you kidding me? It beats SSDs

Not the last time I checked ( this morning )

To call the Spinpoints weak is silly. They are the fastest HDD for their capacity. Probably one of the best buys you can get as well

Personally I'd use 2 raided raptors (or an SSD) as OS drive and something like spinpoint for storage, but that just my opinion. It doesn't matter though, looks like his PC is already up and running.

Edit:

Just checked, yes the spinpoint beats the raptor in sequential transfers but predictably loses in seek times.

Mike, glad to hear that you got it going. Yes, that's a pretty nice case. How loud are the front and side fans?
