When I boot my CPU I receive this error message

"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt
C:\windows\system32\config\system

You can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original setup CD-Rom. Select "r" at the first screen to start repair ."

I am using two different articles to solve this problems. However, I still encounter problems and it does not help

First article link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545

At step #5
"copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system"

When I enter that information it says: "The system cannot find the file specified"

I think cause of \windows\system32\config\system is missing or not there. Therefore it can not locate it

Here is the 2nd article I tried http://www.help2go.com/Tutorials/Windows/C:%5Cwindows%5Csystem...rrupt.html

In Option 2: Chkdsk /p did not fix it
In Option 3: at this part "C:\system~1\_resto~1\rp23\snapshot>copy _registry_machine_system c:\windows\system32\config\system "

It gives me the same error message: "The system cannot find the file specified" Type Help if you require assistance

If anyone has this problem please help!
