I'm currently in the middle of starting a war with ASUS to have them exchange or do somehting with my p4g8x delux and itss**tty E7205 intel chipset. Its been giving me hell and i dont think its fair for them to sell and advertise a motherboard that supports 8x AGP when it doesnt.

I was interested to know who has a p4c800 delux and radeon 9800 pro. Have you had any problems? Thats basically it.

Thanks

I have that exact combo. The Asus P4C800 Delux and the Radeon 9800 Pro. The problem I get is when Im playing 3d games. It tends to jump right our of the game and onto desktop as if I weren't even playing. I have the latest Drivers for the video card.

Mine works fine. The 3D game I normally play is PlanetSide. Once in a while, once for every 40 hours game time, I crash to desktop from the game. And once in a long while the video card crashes and has to reset. Then, to get DirectX to work again I gotta reboot.

I've got:

Antec Sonata (upgraded to True430 for SATA power connectors)
Asus P4C800 Deluxe
Pentium 4 2.4c
512M PC-3200 (x2)
ATI 9800 Pro 128M
Audigy Platnium (in addition to onboard audio)
WD SATA Raptor 36G 10k rpm (x2 RAID0)
Maxtor 40G 7200 IDE
Maxtor 160G 5000DV 1394
Plextor Combo Drive
10/100 PCI NIC

I had one for a night...then I took it back the next day after frying my 3ghz cpu!!

There's a soldering problem with this board right under the CPU that causes a short. You should check into this. I can post the links tomorrow if anyone want to read on this more. ANyway, I purchased this Asus p4p800 deluxe with Mushkin memory and a gigabyte radeon 9800 pro. No good. It played for 10 minutes then refused to restart after locking. It kept saying "System error due to cpu overclocking." B>S>. I set all bios settings to default and NO overclocking. Anyway, I am still running my Abit IC7 with a new 2.6ghz HT cpu. *sigh*. I am experiencing corrupted graphics when playing Max payne 2, rainbow six crashes and so on and so forth. The video card gives me no problems with games like GTA2 and Diablo 2.
