Okay, I have 2 questions.

1. I would like to open up my connection to the internet. For gaming and for downloads.
I've tried port forwarding, but when I set that up for some reason I couldn't access certain sites, like MySpace and some email sites. So I gave up on that.

I think the main problem I'm having is that I'm dealing with a wireless router and a modem, which I've never had to deal with both before. So when I opened the ports, I did the same numbers on both the modem and the router. The two seem to conflict with each other.
I've also tried messing with DMZ hosting, like I did back in the PC gaming days. When I do that on the modem, I can no longer access the internet. I don't remember what happened when I did it on the router.

The modem is a Qwest DSL M1000 WITHOUT wireless adapter. The router is a Linksys SRX 400.

Dealing with 1 hardwired desk top computer, 2 wireless laptops and a hardwired XBox 360.

My 2nd question is this:
How can I limit the bandwidth usage on one of the laptops? I would like to cap it at like 1.5Mb the reason being, when I'm gaming my chick gets on her laptop and lags the hell out of me, you gamers all know how much of a nuisance that is.
