I got this email today... wtf?

Hello,

My name is Elena, I'm 32 years and I writing you from a province in Russia. I work in town library and I allowed to use computer after my work. We have a big problem and I decided to write you this desperate letter.

I have little daughter Anghelina, she is 8 years old, her father abandoned us and we live with my mother.

As result of deep economical crisis recently my mother losed job (the market at she worked is now closed) and our situation became very difficult.

Prices for gas and electricity are very expensive in our region and we cannot use it to heat our home anymore.

The winter arriving and weather is very cold here already. We very afraid and we do not know what to do.

The only way for us to heat our home is to use portable wood burning oven which give heat from burning wood. We have enough wood in our province and this oven will be heating all our home during the winter with minimal charges.

Unfortunately, we can not buy this oven in our city because it cost 8197 roubles (equivalent of 191 Euro) and we can not afford it.

If you have any old portable cast iron oven and if you do not use it already, we will be very thankful to youl if you could donate it for us and organize department of this oven to our adress (195 km from Moscow). This ovens usually different and weight about 100kg.

I hope that you write me back.

Elena.
Russia

I felt bad so I shipped her the extra portable cast iron oven I had laying around the house.

Yes! Because no one uses the extra portable cast Iron that is laying around in the basement.

K0rny you've done your good deed, you've provided that family with the warm needed to survive the cold hard Russian winter. You've gained your personal stairway to heaven!

Yeah so I just checked with my sources..it's just as legit as little African kinds writing you about not having any food and asking for a donation.

Price of electricity is too high 150km from Moscow? wow that person doesn't know ANYTHING.

I would have replied to the email "do your homework before you write, oh and btw I was gonna send you $100 but I wrote a wrong address and sent it over to the antispam committee instead. Sorry!"

You guys are sick, the poor girl is just looking for some help and you won't even give her that much? Not even a friendly 'good luck'. I for one am going to send over half a dozen.

You all make me sick. I can just imagine what you would all say to the one where the girls rich father died and her uncle is keeping her and her mother under a watchful eye so they can get the dads money he left behind. All they want is your bank account number so you can hold it for them until they are free. I worry about her greatly as I have not received the money since giving it. :( I hope the poor girl is okay.

You people are sick!

I knwo what these countries would say to us if it were the other way round.. they'd say f**k OFF!

I'm not being cold lol. I'm just pointing out facts. Scams are unreal since the
arrival of internet. K0rny donated his stove thingy, so that's cool.
You don't know what's scam and what's genuine that was the point of my
comment. Nothing else. Relax ;)

I guess a portable cast iron stove would be one that weighs 600lbs instead of 1200lbs.
