well okay, it has been a long time since I log in and yes I got some issues.

chassis intruded
fatal error system halted

some classic issues on ASUS mobo, I just realized that ASUS started to produce s**tty motherboards these days.

I havent tried removing the battery yet because that will definitely nullify my warranty and I am trying to avoid that because I just got my previous rampage II replaced by a new one because some hardware issue on the mobo.

here are my specs if this might help anyone resolve my problems:

Intel core i7 975 Extreme
Asus rampage II extreme
Dual HD5870
some corsair DDR3 3x2GB
Tagan 1100w
Alienware chassis

thanks before,
ALCID

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the last time I saw this issue was on a prebuilt PC. When upgraded (the side had to come off obviously) the computer said that every time it was turned on and refused to boot, even if you took the upgrade back out.

Solution: Go to the bios when its booting, turn off the "Tamper Warning" (or words to that effect). Once done, the PC booted fine.

Resetting your bios to defaults should resolve the issue I believe this function is disabled by default on the ASUS bios's

Failing that find the headers for the chassis switch connection and short them out with a jumper so it thinks the non existent door switch is closed

Funny this post should arrive....I purchased a P5Q SE2 to tide me over while I get "another" new board....and this was doing my f**king head in. Very Very annoying problem....all I did was use a different jumper that was a little bit tighter on the pins to make a better contact...still happened once or twice, so I got rid of the board.
