ok... i'm familiar with ssh and ftp ... protocol and how to use them for querying and more...

but i'm new to windows server 2008 ... so take it easy on me ...

i recently create a user and login database...

now to make sure that i did the right thing i need to make sure that i can connect to the sql database that i created.... there is the problem

what protocol is used by sql server 2005? i'm planning to test it by running sql queries from another computer ... can i use ssh or ftp related software to connect to my database

hi..

i just found out that sql server 2005 use TCP protocols...

what i need now is the code to run in order to login to the database i created from another computer and using another tcp software ...

i guess the code should be unix based to login and then sql should be accessed ...
