Oh, and they're adding a little something called multi-tasking. Who would have f**king guessed?

I agree that the iPhone is a great device, I can't wait till the Windows 7 mobile Phones arrive, I don't think they'll beat the iPhone but If it's good and smooth as butter I'll buy one.

Lol! You guys saw the list of features?

App folders - They're slowly reverting back to a dektop or laptop GUI.

Multitasking - I know many people wanted this but how the hell can you multitask in such a limited screen and with such a limited pointing device? Plus the battery will drain out like crazy.

Bluetooth keyboard support - Cool feature and it's great that they put it there but this is pretty much useless for such a small device.

Tap to focus when recording video, just like with photos, and a 5x digital zoom for the camera - That's a pretty awesome feature.

Game Center - This might spell trouble for other turtle phone developers who are planning to compete with the iPhone *cough* Microsoft! *cough* If the iPhone suddenly becomes a well known social movement for all the idiots who can't use a PC correctly and do not have the money to buy a Mac then I can expect the iPhone to become the king of all phones, until maybe Google decides to launch a super awesome phone that runs on opengl, opensource and everything free and hackable then Apple will rule forever!

Unfortunately, this multitasking won't be available for devices older than the 3GS and new iPod touch.

Can someone explain this to me? Are they basically abandoning a major update for their newer phones? :/

Here's a funny read for those who dislike Apple's advertising:

The battery will hardly be affected by multitasking as they designed it so it saves its state ( sending the other app into a sort of hibernation ) until you go back into it, so it isn't as if its running while the other one is, it sort of 'pauses' it. The difference is that it is docked and more easily accessible, but, some things are pure multitasking, and do not use this method, which will drain battery ( the battery sucks enough as it is TBH )

4.0 will not run on the old 3g and older iPod touch,as they use slower, older hardware.

# Multitasking.
# Spell check (like on the iPad).
# User-defined wallpaper (a jailbreak favorite).

My Droid has done these since it came out...

Yeah I hate Apple through and through. As Sean said, the Droid/Milestone is a much better phone.

It doesn't matter if Droid is a better phone. It's all about the apps and stoopid colours! And the shiny box and phone and those stupid stickers that make people feel like they are part of a "special community".

Jesus, haven't you guys learned already from their previous products?

I hate Apple too, but that doesn't mean the iPhone is a POS, because it isn't. It is actually f**king awesome. But, the Motorola Milestone is f**king sexy as t**s

I've tried the Milestone out in-store and the camera/picture quality was just amazing. Liked the interface also. I want one.

I think that the iPhone OS / iPod touch OS has this now, but when I first used an iPod touch, I was baffled ass**t that it didn't have any kind of copy-and-paste. I went bonkers.

I wouldn't say that the iPhone is a POS, it clearly can do a lot of things. Unfortunately, the only things it can do are the things that Apple will LET you do, and that's more than enough for me to say fux 'em. Yes, yes, I know you can jailbreak, but I would still be giving my money to a company that insists on treating its users like invalids, and I refuse to support that.

The Motorola Droid I like for the most part: if there was a phone combining the CPU power of the Nexus One and the hardware keyboard of the Droid (maybe there is?) runinng Android, I would be happy. I can't type worth a damn on any touch-keyboard, iPhone included.

From what I've read, it's almost all the same hardware as the Droid, but for GSM networks.
