Recently I had a 12 or 13 beep code error which would not prevent me from starting up my computer. After moving the jumper multiple times and taking the CMOS battery out for awhile, the beep ended and It finally started up. Now I'm stuck on the Microsoft green bar. It's moving but there is no windows logo or anything other than the green bar and words "Microsoft Corporation." I've looked at the BIOS to find out where the Shadowing and Caching options are but couldn't find anything.

I've put the windows vista disk in to recover or repair my system but all I can do is select it in the menu thing and it takes me to the green bar, any other options pretty much lead to a blue screen (which for some reason I can't get to right now). Safe mode doesn't work, it loads until it hits \Windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk.sys, although I haven't let it sit there for more than a few minutes.

I've looked everywhere for an answer and I'm just not finding it. I'm at the point where I just want to take it to Best Buy and have them fix it, but that would cost me $300. Please Help me.

Here are my system specs.

First off, we don't need to know about all of the cables or odd components like that.
It makes your post difficult to read, and hard to find what is important. You can fix this by clicking on "edit post" in your post.

The main components that we need are cpu/mobo/hdd'/video card/psu/ram.
Your part #'s mean nothing to us.

After doing this, im sure people will make suggestions on what is wrong.

The problem could be the mixed memory. Try just one stick and go from there.Use the first slot, It will be listed as 0 or1.

Do you have 10 sticks of memory installed? There are 10 listed is why i am asking.

To use the full 3gigs (4 sticks). you need to look in your manual and place aa 1024 and a 512 into channel 1 and the other 2 into channel 2. It should be color coded per channel when you look at your mobo.

Back to the problem. Instead of a repairing windows, have you tried a format and fresh install?
