Hey Guys,

I think your all getting my general purpose here as im purchasing a new pc i want to make as as decent as possible as i can for the budget i've got it. The case the pc im looking at comes with is a "Galaxy V ATX Black Gaming Case" i can only find one picture of it online. However i get the feeling its a somewhat cheap case. With that said ive been looking at tht NZXT Silver Apollo Case and the Black Hummer Case.

I need a decent sized case(i'd love it look ORSM) that allows for a decent ammount of fans and/or has good airflow i understand the principle of how to createa decent airflow system within a case etc etc.

The apollo is a BIG case compared to the other two. I cant really find any reviews or information on the standard GalaxyV as for the hummer it seems a nice case but potentially poorly made.

Links to the PC and the cases.

I'd go with the Apollo, myself.

If those are your only choices, then I would also go with the Apollo.

Well i've researched the case that comes with it and it costs around 42.99. With this in mind i have a budget of about 550/600 if i wanted to wait a few more weeks.

the original rig is

515.00
+ GTS 1GB Upgrade
=
522.00
+
Case Difference
=
Either +28.00 or 78.00.
+
18.00 PSU if i do change my case as web systems sell no 550 psus(pre built)

Any recommenedations of the Cases on the web-systems website(NO PSU)

I also conisdered the Thermaltake v9 black. It has two 23cm fans on the side and top for ventiallation. However after reeding reviews apparently the Gauss like mesh on the two fans is extremely flimzly; moreover there is no removable mobo tray - however the rig is being built to spec and i dont want to be messing with the rig once its built

This is the case I have:

http://web-systems.co.uk/index.php?page=Products&pid=3423

It's good for the price if you have the money I would get something different.

2 of my friends own this case:

http://web-systems.co.uk/index.php?page=Products&pid=3851

They seem to be really good cases and are quite large so provide decent airflow.

If you have the money I would probably get this, best case of the bunch I think:

http://web-systems.co.uk/index.php?page=Products&pid=4892

This also looks decent, but I don't know much about this particular model:

Skip on mine, especially if you're gonna jump to good GPU's. I'm pretty sure a 5870 wouldn't fit in my case.

Also, the power supply has to be mounted at the bottom. I had to buy a cpu power extender cable, as the stock cable would not reach.

Just look into power supply cable lengths and how big new GPU's are before buying. If you need to, I'll get out the tape and measure....but I'm pretty sure that I could *just* fit a 4870 in there. I currently have a 9800 GTX+ and that was somewhat hard to work in there.

I would honestly just go with another, more expensive case. You'll be upgrading it or cutting metal in the future, with mine. :D

Personally..... to me... all the cases mentioned are butt ugly with the exception of the Cooler Master "scout" and "CM690" (both are pretty good both in function and astecthic)...

with that said..... go for this one...

A case is just....a case where all your parts go into. You never look at the parts. If you do, then you have problems, or a severe obsession with PC parts, which can't be good.

Get something that will last...uh. Biggest case with 2 psu mounts, and tons of places for fans. Chances are, it will look good too.

Well as far as cases go, I have to say I love my LanCool PC K62.

Superb case, completely tool-less, reasonably priced, great cooling, and fairly large.

I went through a lot of options before deciding on it, and I'm not sorry.

i can recommend the Antec 300

You can either be part of the problem or be part of the solution.

Antec 300 is pretty good. I already build a few systems with that case. No sideways HDD's and reset button is hard to press but overall the design and the capacity is pretty good.

Of course, I like my Obsidian 800D the best ;)
