I have recently built a new computer and installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit on it. It will often reboot just as the login screen for windows is appearing. Sometimes it will do it 20 or 30 times in a row. One I get into windows it words fine. Does not restart during gaming or anything else, only during start up. I have done memtest and not errors with memory and tested the hard drive and no errors with it. Thanks you so much for any help.

Ok we'll need to know why Windows is restarting... Duh!
To do this try and get past the login screen, once you're in Windows Right-click My computer, then go to properties, to your left side click advanced system settings, then click the advanced tab and under Startup and Recovery click settings, now under system failure uncheck the option that says "Automatically Restart". This will allow Windows 7 to inform you with the source of the error next time it restarts. You might get a blue screen of death, but don't worry about it. Post the results and we'll work from there.
Everything I write is Sarcasm.
Windows re-install FTW, I only say that because it quicker than trying to figure out whats making it happen, if the system runs fine with no problems when it does boot up and your RAM is fine, I would be looking to a piece of software being the problem unless it has being doing this straight after you installed Windows before you put any new software on it.
Ok, I almost never get a blue screen, it just simply restarts while it is loading the login page for windows. It does sometimes say that certain things can't load because of not being reference memory could not be written.
Example - Error: werfault.exe 0xf8baa462 referenced memory at 0x8b040b8 could not be written. It has also happened with ntdll.dlh and regsor32.exe
I have tried reinstalling windows several times, but it does it before installing any additional software. Thanks for your help.
Often when it restarts is says something like this: Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48
Locale ID: 1033
Additional information about the problem:
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0

I have reinstalled all the drivers and updated the bios. Still getting bsod often during initial loading of windows. Almost every bsod I det is different. I will post more of them tomorrow. Still if I get all the way into windows (1 out out of every 4 or 5 restarts) then it works perfect for as long as I leave the computer on.
Facing a very similar issue. RAM checks out, even tried replacing it to isolate. Tried replacing the Optical drive on a longshot suggestion, didn't help. Reinstalled windows a number of times, usually adds stability for a few days. Tried putting windows on a different hd, no effect still get BSoD. I'm convinced it the mobo, maybe the southbridge getting corrupt or overheated. I've ordered a Gigabyte version of the 870 board to replace the MSI, should be here before the weekend. If it fixes anything, I'll let you know.
