Well this shyte 1.6ghz single core doesn't cut it for anything, so I am willing to pay 60 dollars thru paypal for a Dual Core Soctet AM2 processor, preferably above 2.0ghz.

A bit off topic, but this got me to wondering what people are asking for the old 939 socket CPUs. I remembered there was some price gouging a few years ago...but what the hell?!?! You could buy a decent SYSTEM for this...

"Mega Micro Devices" for a new, socket 939 4800+ X2....wait for it.....US$450 !!!

snicker...

chortle......

ROFLMAO!

I hate looking back at prices ofs**t I've bought (or close in spec) when they've basically halved. It hurts my soul.

Bought Liquid Shadow's Opteron 180 for $60 a few months back. Last year I got a 4800 X2 for $100 and did a poor job of selling it on ebay, only got 150 for it. Recently saw an Opty 170 for $30, an FX57 for $20, and an Opty 180 for $150, which has since been dropped to $100.

Ive got a S AM2 6400+ black edition dual core sitting in my closet, with a stock amd heatsink. 3.2ghz, I used it for 10 months before an upgrade. I must say I do miss that processor, its super fast but only a dual core, Did O'c with it to 4.1ghz on air, never more than 45c at full load.

Edit:
Here is a link to it from newegg, where she came from anyway xD
