Funny thing is...even with dual XEONS @ over 4Ghz and 4 way SLi 480's it still struggles to run Metro 2033 at playable frames across the board @ 2560x1600 with all eye candy.....

My PC runs Metro fine enough to play, and no, it's not. Do you truely think that PC couldn't run any game on the market with extreme ease? Metro is just a terrible game!

I'd say 60 - 85FPS is pretty good at 2500x1600 its WAAAAAAY beyond what I could do at that resolution.

I'm not a gamer, so perhaps I'm missing something in the details, but for high-end gaming I'd be shooting for something more like 36 to 40", 240Hz, 1080p. Either that, or I'd be definitely going multi-monitor.

I just don't see how higher than 1080p resolution provides that much improvement in a fast-paced gaming experience esp. on a ~26-28" screen.

And, even with massive graphics processing power, aren't there usually serious trade-offs between using the mega-resolutions and high-quality rendering settings? At least it seems to be the case in what I've been reading.

To me, 28" is what I would consider the "entry-level" panel size for truly immersive gaming.

What do you get curently? I think this PC should be pulling 100fps at most if not all times. It's 4xGTX480's for god sake. Metro is all INDOORS, which generally means FPS should be high at all times.

Yeah metro isn't the best coded game, blame the russians! But it's still good. It has the tastiest lightning a video game can deliver and it has pretty good animations and gameplay.

If I could tolerate Cryostasis to some extent which has to be the worst coded game I've played then this one is just a little annoyance by comparison.

It is a sexy sexy clean build for sure....and TBH he should have at least a dedicated Dell 30"TFT for gaming not an LCD TV....I am nearly sure that game was coded for Nvidia cards aswell.....AFAIK.

The game not optimised very well, but still goes to show you that the propaganda we all believed in at one time or another is all MEDIA HYPE. Very rarely a product that is hyped up in the PC Industry actually does what it says on the tin.

The video below shows how a single 480GTX and a 5970 perform with high res also......something not right.

Still makes me wanna FULLY WATERCOOL my new rig in Q1 2011

lol, in that video where the FPS dropped and stuck at 20fps, that's what mine did. Terribly coded, guess that's why it only got a 6.5/10 on most review sites.
