I know what you mean. The only thing I really miss with having a laptop-only is a bigger screen (even though I'm running the same resolution now as my old 19" monitor).

But I suppose an external monitor could take care of that for when I'm at home.

And yeah, I can't wait until SSD's get cheap. The biggest that I could afford now is maybe 160GB, unless I went for some crap brand that I don't trust.

Yeah, if I were going the one machine route I'd definitely get an external display/docking station of some sorts. It'd have to be an IPS panel of sorts though. I'm holding out on getting one until my current 19" monitor craps out, if ever.
