Yes it will. But you need to be more "specific" on the Model type next time!
You can use the standard Windows software to burn to CD/DVD or software like Nero, etc.

....I'm back, but only as a part-timer... :)

I'm not so sure, Tam. Her subject said "DVD-ROM / CD-RW", which if that's what she actually has generally means the DVD part is read-only capable, but the CD part is Read and Write capable.

So, it could burn CD's, but not burn DVDs.

You're right that more detailed information (name/model) would be best, because it's possible the drive was replaced at some time in the past and a title-only kind of "spec" re the optical drive might be misleading.

Yup John, I actually re-read that. I sped-read that one. Agreed about more info on the
optical drive tho. That would help a lot.
