Ok, so I missed Burn Out Paradise on STEAM the other week. Now back up to 14.99
minus 25% discount down to 11.24. Not bad still - so I thought. So I goes to EA Store,
and there it is for 4.99 Direct DL. WTF! What is steam playing at? Why is steam selling
this game from MORE than the publisher? Some of the deals on steam AREN'T as
appetising as they appear to be... On another note tho, there HAS been a lot of
excellent deals on Steam, and I have purchased a good few crackers to add to my library!

....I'm back, but only as a part-timer... :)

I think Steam's reputation has built up over time in a similar way to eBay's, so now everyone just assumes it's always cheaper, and they don't bother checking any more, so now, an unscrupulous vendor can make a few extra quid simply by advertising at a very high price with a discount to a high price, and everyone thinks it's a bargain.

Its not shady so to speak...but it NEVER is cheap unless they do them BUSTER SALES..I hate getting anything of steam....only the auto update and the ingame chat are must have features.

But yeah...total rip off.
