I'd argue the Toughpower may be the better buy.

Hi agin ppl, just thought id update here, i have my gfx back and the new psu was out of stock so i now have the OCZ OCZ700SXS2 StealthXStream II 700W

things are installed and everything all working great again, many thanks for all the help and coments here.

i have now orderd a new mother board the Gigabyte P55 UD6 but when i orderd it the site said in stock 1, now there saying they havent got 1 at all but they still have my money lol

Cancel the order so. It appears the PSU has solved your issues!

no chance im going to cancel the order its a ud6 and i got it for 118 they said do i want a refund or maybe select another board, i said have you got anyother board woth over 200 for 118 lol they said they will be back in stock but had no ETA

Glad to see you're using the Version II of OCZ OCZ700SXS2 StealthXStream II 700W.

I (and others) had major catastrophic failures with Version I of that PSU (OCZ700SXS).

However, after RMAing the PSU (at my cost to ship it back), what was clearly identifiable as either a design or manufacturing defect was fixed and the PSU has been very reliable.

Yet...I still backup daily the entire system disk and ALL important changed files/folders on ALL 6 drives in that system.

Hi just wondering if i could get anymore help from this post or start another, i have the Gigabyte HD6850 and new psu all fitted now and got rid of the motherboard and now have the Gigabyte P55-UD6 instead, i have never raided hdd's before but now i also have 4x 500gb samsung F3's and have raided 3 together as the main drice C: tbh i dont get faster boot times infact much slower than i was getting before the raid, is it really worth have a raid ?

With raid and intel chipsets it takes longer to get through the bios tests.Once it boot to windows opening that part should be faster.But enabling raid makes intels bios opens slower.Catch 22 i guess

HI guys need some help here, i get this problem as my screen goes black (no signal) and fan of my gpu hit 100%, mostly it happens after i run a fur benchmark test, have to hard boot to get outta this.


Temperatures are 50C vid card ideal & 85C while in game.

Specs are:
Intel Q8400 2.6GHz
ATI 6870HD (Not overclocked)
4GB DDR2 RAM
Intel DG41RQ Motherboard
PSU - Vip Gold 500W

I have taken a screen shot of my power consumption

Your card is unstable. I assume its overclocked? Turn down the OC a bit - and don;t use furmark! Us 3d Mark or something to test the performance and stability.
