Well Christmas wasn't an overall disappointment, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted to be but theres always worse.

My ultimate dream/hopes were to have 3xIPS Panels (either 21.5 or 23 inch) for my eyefinity setup, as discussed in the other thread I created, as my wife never foward the link to one to my MIL to put on my Christmas list. So I ended up getting this one for free from her -

My question is, Y'alls opinion, I'm thinking about buying 2 more from Dell and was wondering if 3 of these will suffice for eyefinity? Please advise.

I would assume that those would work fine, but if your going through all of this, why get monitors with lower then 1980x1050 resolution.I'm sure you can find some for almost the same price.

Example:
Asus 21.5 1980x1050 for $160 before rebate.

GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3, 2600k @ 4.0
16 gig Corsair Vengeance
Evga gtx 260 216, samsung 2253lw"
Baracuda 7,200.12 CoolerMaster 212 +
Win 7 64, fsp fx700-gln, Razer DA,G15

Micro,

I completely agree with you, I wanted to exchange it for atleast a 21.5 at the store she bought it at but my wife said I could do 2 things, exchange it for a bigger version of the same brand OR get a GC until they do get the size I want.. Reason is, she didn't want her mom to be upset if I was to return it.

Problem is, the 21.5 version isn't the same design.. it has this gay ass gray bar going across the bottom with wider bezels, The link I posted, Dell has a 21.5 version of that monitor with the same design such as the square stand, sharp corners and small bezels but it was unavailable at the retail store she bought it at.

And I got a quote from Dell for 2 more of those @109.99 a piece so, my wife did say she's ok if I got 2 more since the third was free... Atleast its LED, the design and shape of them I do like, just the max res I'm not to hot over.. but what can you do...

anyway, do you think 3 of these would be good for a 3 monitor setup/eyefinity?

I would never let anyone buy a monitor for me. You can get 2 moreo of them and it will still be pretty sweet, but that res would probably kill me. I need at least 1920x1080.

Dell monitors are pretty nice if you can get one of the professional ones (1920x1200 resolution)

Core i7 4770K @ 4.4GHz | Corsair H110 | Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H | 32GB 1866MHz Corsair Vengeance
2x EVGA GTX 780 SLI | 256GB OCZ Vector SSD | 4TB Hitachi 7K4000
Corsair AX1200 PSU | Corsair 650D | Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I completely agree with you. but

A. My wife dicked around sending her mom the link to the one I really wanted(U2311).

B. I told her that if the monitor she got me is different from the one in the email that I wasn't going to be happy with it and it will either sit in the closet doing nothing or taken back to the store and we ended up getting into a fight about it..

C. My wife said she got it from Best Buy and I saw their selection and I felt like Fred Sanford when he puts his hand on his chest and screams for Elizabeth!

D. It turns out she got it from anther store and it was better than the Dells sold at Bestbuy.

E. At this point, I gotta take what I can get, so I might be buying the other 2 and just go with it, since I do have a quote from the sales rep for a cheaper price than what is advertised now..

When it comes to PC parts, I'd rather strangers like you and others on this forum to pick me out something or help me pick out something rather than my wife and especially her mother as they no nothing about PC stuff I like.

Dump the 1600x900 monitor.... find someone that will buy it... get three 1920x1200 monitors... You know in the long run that you will not be satisfied with anything less than 3x 1920x1200 24"
