Looks "realistic", but is it fun?

Two completely different things. The fun of realism can wear off pretty quickly, if there's no solid game mechanics.

BC2 fell apart, somewhat because of this. The other was terrible netcode.

A game like BLACK OPS MP has no solid game mechanics if you ask me....none of the pure run and guns do....but then again what they do they do well. I inlcd TF2 in this....absolute great fun to pick up and play. No real tactics just hack n slash......PERFECT.

But BF series in my opinion does have a very good set of mechanics but they have to be implemented by the team, not just a handful of players. If they can just bring back a few key elements of the old BF series BF3 will be jaw droppingly good.

BC2 requires teamwork....repairing tanks, medics, ammo drops etc. Need mechanics to shoot down helicopters and tanks, and yes, even snipers for mortar sometimes.

BC2 has the best atmosphere out of any game I have played.

what's going to be sad if...... all this video we are being shown to get our adreniline going so we would all go out and place a Pre-order .... and then purchase it on release date.... all this excitement.....

All to be disappointed that the actual release is no better than BFBC2 or BF2 .......... a hoax.....

I hope not.....

Gentlemen, I believe BF3 will be the best fps of the year. This is why:

I haven't played Crysis 2 yet but I have no doubt in my mind that it won't surpass the boner I almost got from watching that amazing video.

i don't think i can run that game max graphics on my rig.

I'll give it a try..

I am p**sed that they scrambled 1943 for this junk. 1942 was the best BF ever.

1943 is NOTHING like 1942. Think of BF: Heroes mixed with CoD.
