Hey Everyone .... Need Help ASAP .... ok so i got a P4 givin to me awhile ago ....it has a MSI 865PE Neo2-P Motherboard in it .... and it had a MSI video card in it as well ... so when i got it there was some issues with it ... so i took out videocard and put in my TNT2 NVidia to see if that was the problem .... anyways ... long story short it was the memory that was bad ... replaced it with the compatible memory and away i went ... well came across the video card today and thought to myself ... hmmm its better then the one that is in there ... so i opened up tower and it was massive dirty .... so i thought ok well its open i'm gonna clean it ... so i unpolugged ipower from wall .... and went to town cleaniing ... using wooden toothpick i got most of the chunks of dust out and vaccum sucked it clean ..... ok now ... Was carefull not to move anything ... ttok socket fan off and cleaned it (Made sure not to move avything under it) put it back on ... took out old videocard and put in new one ............ plugged power back in ... turned on ... orange (Activity) light came on and stayed solid, ALL fans came on, harddrive active (can hear it), lights on dvd drive flashed .... but thats it ... no video nothing .... normally when there is a problem it beeped ... when system working the "Activity" light flashes and shows activity ... nothing ... its solid and the power green light solid .... no warning beeps .... soooo i unpluged it, put old videocard back in and same thing .... soooo then i double check EVERY cord, cable, connector EVERYTHING .... its all in ..... so i remove memory and startup to see if i get the error beeps .... nothing ... same thing ... activity and power lights solid ... but everything is on ... fans, lights etc ... put memory back in and same .... soooooooooooo need some help as my puter is my life ... PLEEASE Help

ok .... so now i tried to unplug the disk drives and the hard drive to see if i could at least get into bios .... and when i did it powers on for 2secs and shuts off and the "Activity" light flashes on and the power flashes on and they both go off and no fans running and the green light flashes on ... off .... on .... off continuously ..... and until i plug it all in again then it goes back to solid lights and fans on and so forth ....

Any ideas ??

By "socket fan" are you refering to the CPU cooler? you physically took the CPU cooler off to clean the heat sink?
