Okay so last night I am planning my vacation, and I am seriously thinking of returning to the land of the free and Florida in particular. I was here for 2 weeks not so long ago and because I spent the majority of the time looking a poxy pixies and princesses in DISNEYLAND, I actually missed out on alot of stuff and did not get to see alot of the actual state.

So I was YOU TUBE'ing Busch Gardens and entered animals and that too see what its all about and seen this link on the side.....so I click it.....and TBH - WTF!!!!!!

I think this is just WRONG on so many levels, I consider myself a man of the world and unlike women (my GF in particular) I get the whole nature and hunting thing but this is niether of them IMHO. Now I know very little about the culture of the FAR EAST but I do know they are set in their own ways....FAIR ENOUGH. But on a humane level this is just terrible.

I have watched enough wild life docs. to know that in the wild when a lioness (which does most if not all of the hunting) attacks an animal the very 1st thing it does is attack the neck to kill the prey as quick as possible, as in sever jugular vein. This is to ensure amongst other things the prey does not get away and that it can hide/eat prey asap.

What happens in the clip (And there are plenty of the clips not just this one) is the cow is left alive for an age, the instinct of killing is totally gone as the lions know they are getting feed on a regular basis so they are in no hurry and do not kill the cow like in the wild. What you are left with is 5-10 lions eating the cow so slowly and dragging it around at will....just terrible.

Why they cant just shoot the cow in the head and dump it out is beyond me it really is. It would serve the same purpose because the lions are learning nothing and are not been taught to hunt in the wild.....All I can see is that they to it for the f**kin Tourists or for a laugh!!!!

I was at Busch Gardens for a whole day. It was an awesome time and I didn't see anything remotely like this(obviously, I wasn't supposed to). I didn't have time to watch the full videos so not sure what happened. I saw a Tiger kill a cow is all.

Good thing you mentioned this Kieran, I was about to watch the video since I have no problem seeing animals eat each other but if the prey gets dragged around while still barely alive by human interference then I prefer not to see such an act.

Though, I would pay to see the lion eat a chicken :P

I went to BuschGardens on Virginia If I'm not mistaken. We had a terrific good time. There was a 3D theater with a cool short film about pirates and all that and there were many effects besides the 3D so you felt like in the movie, seats rumbled, when birds pooped on the pirates something felt on top of my head which felt gooey and watery lol and many silly but funny stuff.

I went to a couple of simple rollercoaters, nothing crazy since I get afraid of those things just from looking at how high they can go. We went to this ride which was basically a giant log in the water and you went through a cave and a few slides then a big drop. But the funnest ride imo was the water rapids (don't know if thats what it was called). Basically its a doughnut shaped liferaft which goes through a simulated cascade like experience and you're just bumping around and getting all wet ands**t, then some gringos shot at us with some water gun statues that you could use for 25c a shot. It was mad fun.

But I bet Disney is better man, there are many attractions, you should visit what you missed. There's the Harry Potter castle now you know! Freaking Hogwarts ands**t!

I feel bad for the tigers in those videos. We put them in a cage and nearly to extinction and people cry about the cows. Laughable.

I totally agree with this guy's comment:

"Remember these are wild Tigers. You wouldn't want to walk around in the cage with them like they are house cats or dogs. They need to keep their wild instincts as many are released back into the wild. Tiger populations (especially Siberia tigers around 550 world wide) are dangerously endangered. So how should we feed them? Give them a block of frozen meat? Then expect them to survive alone in the vast Russian forest. How would you do it?"

Have you watched the videos on what we do with the animals that WE eat? It would probably blow your mind. I can link you some if you want.

While I do think the dragging a prey animal around behind a truck is something that doesn't need to be shared with the kiddies, it seems a reasonable way to simulate a moving/live prey animal to hunter animals. There are some animals that just won't eat properly and will not stay healthy unless their prey is either provided alive or made to seem alive.

However...

I've seen enough wildlife documentaries, read a few wildlife studies by college researchers, and watched enough wild and domesticated cats in the field to know that animals are NOT as squeaky-clean as all that when it comes to how they treat their prey and other animals.

I'm not saying humans are all that great sometimes, but animals also have their share of bullies, tyrants, gangs, murderers, etc.

Recent studies even show that several species of simians have been proven to spontaneously organize into gangs to hunt down and attack a single monkey...sometimes just bludgeoning it to near death, other times killing it...and there was no reason for the behavior (e.g. there was no prior aggression or challenge, no threat to the group or a group member, it wasn't mating-related behavior, etc).

Many people say and believe that "animals only kill for survival" or "only man hurts other creatures for non-survival reasons"...and within the past few decades or so that has been shown to be quite inaccurate.

Let me just CLARIFY this:-

This does not happen at busch gardens, I was looking for a vid on you tube about busch gardens animal park when I seen this link on the side.......this happens in the zoo's in CHINA. Not in the USA that I know off...they also tie the legs of chickens by a rope then tie the rope to the railings and throw the chickens to big cats.....so the chickens cant fly off.......
