Ok, so under XP..you couldnt drag/drop a program folder into Win XP because the registry would have no way to know where the program was. But was this problem addressed or corrected in Win 7?

For example; I've got Battlefield 2 and all it's patches loaded on my desktop. Since I"m giving desktop to my mom-in-law, she doesnt need that :) So, trying to take the easy route, I just want to drag the EA game folder from my desktop to my laptop. I can create a new icon to point to the .exe, and in my mind, all things should be good? Now when I tried that in WinXP, it never worked right. How about Win 7? My laptop is running Win 7 Home Premium 64bit with 4 gb ram (need to upgrade down the road), and my desktop is running WIn 7 Pro 64 bit with 4 gb ram (was gonna upgrade, mom doesnt need anymore hp for what she's doing lol).
