Fellow Forum Members,
I'm having some problems with my RAID 6 - Areca 1880ix-24 setup. I hope someone out there can help me fill in the blanks where my Areca Owner's manual falls short. I have a Areca 1880ix-24, Windows 7 (64bit) OS, 12 Hitachi 2Tb hard drives. The McBIOS is what I'm using. I create a RAID SET with no problem.

The problem arises at the end of creating a VOLUME SET menu within the "Greater Two TB Volume Support" submenu. It offers three options.
1. No
2. Use 64 Bit LBA
3. Use 4K Block

Since I'm using a Windows 7 64 Bit, I chose "Use 64 Bit LBA". After I make my selection I move on to Initialization and then get this error Message: "No Disk Space Is Available". In short, this message is preventing my RAID 6 to start the INITIALIZATION phase.

Am I getting this error because I should use 4k Block instead? The Areca Owners Manual does not make clear how to address this error message and whether it is due to making an incorrect choice in the "Greater Two TB Volume Support" submenu.

What is the correct? Use 64 Bit LBA or 4K Block?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
