  Error/ black screen disk reformatting

I was in the process of reformatting the HD of my Toshiba R 10 working on XP Home using the provided DVD. I followed the instructions and the process concluded with it asking me to remove all diskettes and pressing C to continue. I didn't remove the driver disk and pressed C - since then there is a blank black screen with the curser on the top hand side of the screen which is not responding.
Please assist.

i thnk you shuld insert the disk again and repeat the process, sometimes in the formating process that need to worry just try the process again...also if you again get the same error try doing it with other CD....might be some problem with your XP disk...
