I remember seeing quite a few comments on this about a year ago (maybe more?) in various tech fora. The consensus seemed to be this was nothing but a sales gimmick.

I read about this too some time ago. I wonder if all this will do is make tv's look more saturated than what they can achieve today. They seem to be looking for more color than what life is capable of offering lol.
