i think this seems to be a great machine with the type of configuration it is having.....with i7 processor...it will give you a great computing experience...and sony is always turn out to be a great machine....the point where m concern is the price.....otherwise it is quite a nice thing to go for....

I don't know about that...at least for gaming performance. The 540M is pretty low on the totem-pole these days, esp for a 1000 quid machine. However, I've not been laptop shopping in the past 6 months but I would have expected price-point/graphics performance to be better than that. But I expect a major part of the cost is also the i7 quad core at 3GHz and the 1920x1200 16"+ displays.

What I see is a computational powerhouse with great video resolution, but potentially disappointing gaming video performance depending on what games you play.

Im struggling to hunt down a gaming laptop, I have to say that I dont know much about laptop GPU's
