I wake up this morning to a Dell
Dimension e521 that won't turn on. It is plugged into a surge protector and all cords are hooked up. I removed the side to look at. The MB and see the AUX_PWR_LCD light is orange. I'm not tech savvy and am uncertain as to why it would suddenly quit working. Thank you in advance for all info and help given.

Does it make any noise at all when you press the power switch such as a fa spinning up, beeps or hard drive etc?
I assume that this is the pc:
With the mobo lights coming on, this should indicate that the psu is still working, though that is not always the case. A psu tester is as cheap as $5 on eBay
and have worked well for me.
If the pc doesn't make any noise at all not even beeps, i would first look into a bad cpu or mobo. If it was a memory or video card problem, the computer would at least try to start or give a beep code to tell you what the problem is.
To test either, you would need to have a spare cpu or mobo lying around to switch parts with.
I have had a bad mobo where it still lit up, but computer wouldn't even try to start.
I have had a bad cpu where it won't try to start also as it has to test for a cpu before it can even try to start.
