I've used it a little and am amazed of how smooth, fast and clean the UI is. I'm really liking it, If it wasn't for all my mozilla add-ons I would switch to it. I'm still deciding If I'm going to switch to IE9, I'm finding out about the add-ons.

But I'm interested in hearing your opinions. What do you guys think of IE 9?

I guess i don't plan on ever trying it.

I assume that with all the pc's i have to work on over the years i will have to be removing malware from many computers running IE9.

I don't mean to be so negative about it, i just can't think of anything that would ever be so much better with IE9 then what i can find else where to make me switch or even take the time to try it out.

I do like to hear the positives about it though so that i can keep up on all the latest tech.

I'm too invested (usage-wise, not really $-wise) in Firefox add-ons to consider switching, but IE9 is defo cleaner and appears faster than IE8 in what little eval I did.

Mozilla was also smart in providing the "about:config" capability. That provides MUCH more granularity over IE9 in terms of internet control.

If it were a question of IE9 or IE8, then IE9 hands-down....but between IE and Firefox it's Mozilla all the long as you've got the hardware performance capability.

Firefox still can be a CPU-cycle and memory pig and sometimes you have no choice but to restart Firefox (not the computer) to stop some background CPU cycle chomping and memory hogging crap (even after you've closed tabs, cleared out cookies and LSOs, prevented ad pop-ups, prevented auto-flash animation, etc).

At least, that's the case on WinXP (which I still use as my "browser" system). It may not be so bad on Win7pro 64bit. I'll have to give it a try...assuming Firefox 6.0.2 supports 64bit Win7...the Firefox webpages don't seem to's probably spec'd somewhere in a readme.or history file.

However...that usually starts happening only after a couple weeks of constant "on" time. I'm certain I wouldn't see that nearly as often if I re-booted every few days as some people do (I usually go about 1 month between system reboots, and that's usually only because of a hardware change or I want to run some tests).

edit to add:
Using the niggle-ware* version of "Memory Improve Master" also helps tame Firefox's memory gluttony to some degree. I wish I could remember who recommended MIM to me, but I searched HWA without success.

*It's only "niggle" ware because it suggests going for the paid version just once each time you start it up (which for me is about once every 30 days). If it did that more often I'd call it "nag" ware.

I am using IE9 for more than a month I think... no problem... it's fine... the only difference was that IE8 was sexier : )

I am still not updated in the new version of Internet Explorer but I've seen the new version of it and I was amazed with the interface and hopefully will install it to my other computer and surf the new IE9.

Hi there,

My experience with IE 9 has been amazing from the past 3 years (almost). Before I used to have an IE 8 browser on windows 7 and then when saw reviews of IE9 I went for it.

From the very first day i am impressed with the way the browser is working and the way it is blocking ads.

But my only worry from the past few months that it is not support adobe flash at all and i am facing difficulty in accessing videos on the browser.

Except this trouble, " All izz well" for me with IE9.
