Alright... Here's where I am. I did a fresh install of Win 7 64bit, loaded all the latest drivers and what not and did all of the windows updates. Installed Firefox 5.0, here's where all the fun begins. Now I can't install Chrome, Safari or any other program, none, nodda damn thing can I install. I've checked MS Forums (No F ucking help) I'm at my wits end, sure I can do another re-install but I'd rather not.

System specs (not that it matters with this problem)
Asus P5N-D
4GB Corsair
Q6700
750W Thermaltake

Any and all suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Nope, no error messages. I get to the Windows "User Account Control" where it says "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?". click yes and it should start setup, well that's where it stops. It doesn't go any further, this has me totally baffled and confused to say the least.
Thanks for the input tho.

Possibly related:

Can you describe exactly what happens when you try to install a given program? What if you run the .exe as administrator?

Where did you get your copy of Win 7? Possible problem with install package?

Ok, figured it out. The new Beta version of Spybot S&D was stopping the install process for some reason, so uninstalled it. Chrome and everything else was able to install perfectly. So STAY AWAY from that version of S&D.
Oh, and my win 7 version I've had for over a year and has been on this machine since. I installed on a new OCZ 240GB Agility SSD drive.
Thanks for the input
