I just bought the rosewill rk9000 it has the cheryy mx blue keys just like the Razor Blackwidow but man the rose is the better better key board hands down in my book.Yeah its missing the marco keys and a few other do dads but this KB is a dream to type on.Ill probably keep the blackwidow for gaming and this for everyday typing.Oh and man this thing types much quiter than the blackwidow

I've never tried a mechanical keyboard before? What's so good about it? Been hearing how it feels and whatnot but is it more comfortable or just brings back memories?

For me it just feels better. But you really just need to try one then try one with the rubber membrane and you will feel th difference. But you might prefer the rubber membrane kb

I have the razer blackwidow expert but they sold me the one made for Mac. So far I love it except for the windows key is obviously missing and the * and - on the 10 key are reversed. So I was thinking of either exchanging it for the windows version or getting the rosewill Rk9000 or the DAS keyboard model s professional which I keep hearing is the best for typing. But the cost seems too high when the the razer seems just perfect for me compared to the laptop keyboards and regular membrane keyboards I've been typing on. So I was just curious if you could tell me exactly what you like more about typing on the rosewill vs blackwidow? Is it just because its not as noisy ? I like that noisy click and tactile feel of the rosewill, but I think my coworkers put their headphones in more so now that I have it. I tried the adesso-mkb-135b in the store and it seemed less tactile or clicky to me than the rosewill. Have you tried the DAS or adesso ?

Its more to do with the shape of the keyboard. The blackwidow was just shaped weird for me.

The Rosewill is a regular keyboard with mx blues.I also have the a rosewill with mx blacks.I favor the blacks because i tend to get double letters when typing on the one with the mx blues.

Seriously though they are all nice keyboards.Biggest benfit with the rosewill is that they are much cheaper

Here's another thread where we discussed keyboard design, "feel", and functionality. Perhaps it will help ID a few things to ponder and watch for that you've previously not considered. I've not recently checked the hyperlinks in my post, so I hope they still work.

I'm a month late here, but I have two Das Keyboards, an Ultimate Silent with MX Browns, and another with MX Blues.

I love them both; in fact I have two because I type a lot at work and wanted to use one there. The "silent" in the DKUS is relative; there is no audible click when you type. HOWEVER, if you bottom out the keyboard, you'll hear the keycap hitting the chassis, so it's not actually "silent."

Going by eBay prices, they tend to keep their value so if you have some extra bucks, I'd try one out. Should be easy to sell if you don't like it.

So Mothow what are you talking about here. Is this Rosewill a BS (buckling spring) key board or what. Some one said there were newer versions out instead of paying $100+ for an antique IBM Model M. I go through keyboards so fast I just buy the cheapest ones I can find. Right now I'm using one of those "as seen on TV!" keyboards with the yellow keys and giant letters they have at Wal-Mart for $9.99. My old eyes are loving it but it still sucks for gaming. Have you played Metro Last Light yet? Wow, way better but still similar to the original 2033. I loved both those.
